The Special Counsel prosecuting Donald Trump subpoenaed a list of anyone who’s engaged Trump’s social media posts surrounding the 2020 election.
He invested in and developed real estate across the entire U.S., even filing bankruptcy multiple times while making billions of dollars. Many of his properties had or still have his name on it.
But once anyone becomes President, certain legal privileges (including immunity) are extended to that person. The idea behind these privileges is to deter outrageous political prosecutions.
At least, that’s what would happen during normal times.
Of course, these aren’t normal times. (Are they ever?)
Thanks to a power-hungry special prosecutor named Jack Smith, things could take a wild turn for the worse inside the United States…
Trump’s Prosecutor Might Want to Talk to YOU!
In a warrant filed back in August 2023, Smith looks like he has taken up “fishing” as a new hobby.
Case in point: If you liked, retweeted, or otherwise interacted with any of Trump’s tweets, even if you don’t support Trump… your data could end up in Jack’s database.
In fact, he demanded that that data be included in his questionable legal pursuits, according to the Washington Times:
Mr. Smith not only demanded from Twitter (now Elon Musk’s X) what Mr. Trump tweeted about the 2020 election, but also wants copies of retweets and likes, meaning that by now, he has collected a database that might well include you.
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell, an Obama appointee, granted Mr. Smith’s request carte blanche.
According to the Washington Examiner, you should be concerned if you interacted with Trump’s tweets between October 1st, 2020 and January 20th, 2021.
The full scope of Smith’s apparent fishing expedition “is not clear,” according to the same article, and parts of the warrant are redacted.
Now I’m not a lawyer, but last time I checked, you’re supposed to be able to see everything about the case against you if charges are levied by a prosecutor.
But not in Trump’s case, according to lawless Jack Smith.
Smith even tried to rob Trump of his First Amendment right to speak, and a leftie Judge actually approved of it:
In addition to indicting Trump, Smith filed a motion in September to institute a gag order on the 45th president, effectively stifling his First Amendment right to criticize the very government attempting to silence him. That gag order was ultimately approved by D.C. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, a left-wing Obama appointee with a track record of highly partisan court rulings.
While Trump has the resources to put up a fight against a “kangaroo court” like this, you probably can’t, at least not for long.
So pay close attention…
It Doesn’t Matter Whether You Even Like Trump or Not

In another court filing, Jack Smith made the unfounded accusation that Trump wanted to “remain in power at any cost.” Never mind that Trump peacefully left the White House and hasn’t done anything illegal to reclaim power… facts don’t matter to Smith.
But even if Trump were convicted in court (key word: convicted), this is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black. Because Jack Smith clearly wants “power at any cost” even more than Trump might.
In this case, that power appears to include Smith leveraging “guilt by association” against unsuspecting citizens who clicked buttons on Donald Trump’s tweets.
That’s why even if you don’t like Trump at all, this applies to you too…
There is a legal system in the United States that is supposed to protect you from overzealous prosecutors and their fishing expeditions.
Right now, that system doesn’t appear to be working as intended. And it won’t matter who you support for President, this case could set a dangerous legal precedent against anyone in the future.
