Yesterday wrapped up an amazing day here in Bocas del Toro, Panama for Global Escape Hatch. It is truly a phenomenal event with attendees and speakers from all over the world.
Thursday’s speakers included presentations from my personal Rolodex of offshore experts. These are guys I have developed relationships with over the years who are well connected and highly respected in their field.
I had the opening presentation discussing how to internationalize your assets and develop the proper structures for planting multiple flags for your cash, real estate, precious metals, residency and more. I discussed specific opportunities and how to use foundations to protect your wealth.
Mike Cobb is a good friend of mine and a very experienced real estate developer in Central America. He has been at this for more than a decade and is the most knowledgeable guy I know on this topic. He educated us on the pitfalls of investing in real estate overseas and what to look for.
My long time friend Tres Knippa manages a fund shorting sovereign debt and has figured out a way to take advantage of an inevitable debt collapse with very low risk.
Tom Cleary shared strategies on using strategic metals as an investment class for international diversification. Strategic metals have the unique position of being the unsung hero in thousands of every day products with a huge and growing global demand.
Peter Zipper, internationally renowned banker discussed the ‘ins-and-outs’ of offshore banking and how to best utilize offshore banks for managing your cash and liquid investments.
Even more important were the networking opportunities available. We spent the entire day, and every meal, with some of the most interesting entrepreneurs and investors I’ve ever met.
I am always astounded at the quality of attendees. From a purely selfish perspective, I come as an attendee to network with these people. I have always been a firm believer in surrounding yourself with successful, interesting people.
One of the reasons Steve and I started Global Escape Hatch was so we could put people like these attendees and speakers in one place and share ideas. It is truly the best networking event either of us attends each year.
Validation comes in the form of seeing so many folks who were previous Global Escape Hatch attendees. It seems we are not the only ones who find value.
And the venue…..Wow.
We are firm believers in internationalizing your assets and your life. We host these events in order to educate our attendees on the structures, strategies and opportunities available to them for accomplishing those goals.
If you have not taken the action steps to begin internationalization, do not delay. Take action now before its too late.

Hey Bobby I love your stories of exotic places and bright, colorful pictures. But, for those of us chained to our jobs, and can’t go to summits, how about videos?
Also, for those of us that have no assets to speak of, do you have someone who gives clear and AFFORDABLE “beginners” directions and advice.
